September Spring Sailfish time

Etienne Admin |12 Aug, 2019 | 0 Comments | Return|

Already, as I write this, the winter has gone, and now 28 Degrees C is the norm here, going down to 18 Degrees C at night. I love the tropical weather here, especially with a cold beer, and a few days soaking a bait. I’m done with the cold.

There are Sailfish, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Prodigal Son, all other Tunas, Shoaling Cuta, Trevally and Job fish around now. We fully rigged for trolling, popping, jigging, live bait fishing and Dead bait fishing. This will be my 10th year chartering full-time this area around Inhambane Bay, Inhambane, and the 23rd year fishing these waters. I am confident it will be a great season. Guys, that’s why we come back. You never know what we will get, but you must have a line in the water to be in with a chance……

Three boats: Rocknrolla, Raptor and Reel Screamer are all available and ready to fish. I have got new line, new hooks, some new rods and then all the other bits to get the fish. I have redone some upholstery work on Reel Screamer and Rocknrolla, and the boats are ready to go!

FV Bounty (the 36ft Buttcat with a flybridge) has gone down to Cape Town, South Africa to be used in Big Yellowfin Tuna chartering, min 30 miles straight out to sea. Contact me if you available. Price is us$ 1000 per full day. 10 hrs.

I have got some gaps in October for you guys who still want to get in before December. September is almost full right now already. We can handle a group of up to 16 people.

I’m available to meet you in Pomene also, as an option. We plan to service the cruise ship from MSC line in Pomene this year, with Fishing charters.

I’m taking one group of Spearos to St Lazarus banks, Pemba, Mozambique in November to hunt the elusive Dogtooth Tuna. We have seen Marlin, big Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish- what an incredible place.

December is almost fully booked, so speak to me if you are not yet booked, and maybe I can help.

End of Feb we will be doing our 2nd annual tour to Watamu/ Malindi, Kenya. I have two groups going, 5 nights each, 4 days fishing.  For those who don’t know, we go target a grand slam (3 billfish types in a 24-hr time period), on a 35ft Bertram with one of the best skippers there. Price is about $ 2100 for 4 full days fishing, and S 1750 for 3 full days fishing, all included including flights to and from South Africa, Johannesburg. I can still get you in, but don’t procrastinate, as the best weeks have already gone. 3 guests plus me on the boat. Contact me for more details [email protected]

I look forward to seeing all the returning friends/ guests and meeting new ones. God bless my health, and yours……
